What are they dominating? They have the same record we do and haven't beaten a single good team. They still have a couple of loses looming as well.
As for the future, let's see how they look without two 1st rd OT's before we go nuts.
There is nothing more dangerous in this world than a man with nothing to lose.
I agree that there is some premature hand-wringing over aggy right now. We need to get our act together no doubt but I think out of state programs will benefit far more than aggy if we continue to fester.
aggy is getting a lot of mileage out of the "newness" of being in the SEC, a new coach, a slightly overhyped QB (Manziel is good but not as good as the hype), and having close losses at home to quality teams. They also needed Auburn and Arkansas to implode in order for them to have a realistic shot at finishing THIRD in their own division.
The game against Mississippi State will pretty much decide who finishes behind Alabama and LSU in the West.
I can't imagine a middle of the pack team in the SEC West being all that appealing to recruits over the long haul.
That said, Mississippi State would really do us a big favor by beating aggy tomorrow. aggy currently has the same number of quality wins we do (zero) and doesn't need any additional argument to the contrary after we get slaughtered by Tech tomorrow. If they want to keep up what momentum they have they need a signature win and the game in Starkville is probably as close as they are going to get to one this year other than the bowl game. That wouldn't be very good for us in the short term while we get our act together.
