  • This team has a strong aversion to sweeps.

Carrillo hasn't been very good lately. I think this may be the 4th weekend appearance in a row where he has allowed at least a run. Don't know how much confidence they would have in him in the post-season. This may mean Hoby back to the bullpen, b/c the options there keep getting thinner.

  • Maybe Texas can ask for an early Friday game followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, since they seem to pack up late Saturday night.

Craig said he has the most appearances.

His last 5 appearances, including 4 weekend games:

    Today: 2 R (1 ER)
    Yesterday: 1 ER
    OU: 2 ER
    TX ST: 0 ER
KU: relieves Stafford in the 4th and promptly throws WP that scores a run; passed ball scores a second run (we eventually lose 4-2)

  • Softball team has the same aversion to TV games that the baseball team has to sweeps. 3 TV games, 3 losses. We may have to reconsider airing their games on LHN.

  • These Nebraska radio announcer are really annoying. I keep wanting to hit the mute button before I realize that it just won't work. Would someone please invent a commercial/obnoxious announcer filter for TV and radio? biggrin

  • Really bad loss. We needed to put pressure on A&M. They could go into LSS with a one-game lead on us, which means we would need to sweep to win the title outright, or 2 of 3 to share it. Really don't want to share.

Thank you. I need feedback. I keep tweaking it. Trying to be more concise. I like to add "color." Read the Post Game comments by Augie. Whew!! type_angry upset
He probably manifested by stressing his "concerns" to the team a few minutes ago like in the video of his comments posted on an earlier thread. ))

They don't seem to be showing the maturity needed to be a Championship team. It's 'their team they want.'

  • They also don't have a reliable 3rd starter. This will be a problem come tournament time. I mean, really, who do you go with? Stafford? Milner? Thornhill? Skip has a lot of work to do the next 2 weeks.

Do you have an iPhone or access to phone apps? If so, download iHeartradio and you can listen to the longhorn station AM 1300 The Zone. If not, you need to get one. :)

  • Kirk Bohls--'Maybe you noticed that Nebraska’s Cody Asche had 12 homers entering the series with Texas, which collectively had only 10 as a team.'
