It is still hard to believe we were that bad on defense.
too much talent to not be at least decent...regardless of injuries.
Bobby, unless I'm not reading these lineups correctly, would it be possible to list Freshman as either true freshman or redshirt?
Steve Edmond please drop weight and get nasty
What's the story with Leroy Scott?
Did he see meaningful snaps in a game this year? With how poorly Phillips and Thompson played, I was surprised not to see more of him.
it amazes me how sorry we were on defense...how many of these players will play on Sundays:
DL: Jeffcoat, Reed, Brown, Moore. Desmond Jackson & Chris Whaley (he is not even listed above) are possible
LB: Hicks. I think everyone of those who played this year could eventually make it with the exception of Thompson (he is too slow in my book). Of course none may make it as well. This position amazes me more than any other because these players have the skill...the execution and gameplanning cost them
DB: Byndom, Diggs & Phillips...and before everyone blasts me for that they need to look at Gideon. Phillips can cover better than Gideon. Just needs to pull head out of backside when it comes to tackling. Evans has speed to burn and Thompson is a great athlete who should improve greatly.
I try not to criticize coaches nor players but I do believe the defensive scheme isn't favorable for Edmond. I think Edmond is really good and he played well toward the end of the season. Manny putting him out wide to cover slot receivers is unacceptable. Watching Minter of LSU and Teo I think Edmond is the same caliber of player if put in the right position to succeed.
