Anyone think that a position move would be good for Weiss? I would like to see him moved to the OF or 1B. Strictly to improve our defense would be the rationale.
C Felts 1B Weiss 2B TBD - SS TBD - 3B TBD - LF Walsh CF Stell RF Payton DH Walla
SP Thornhill SP French SP Curtiss SP D.Peters

Walsh was picked in the 11th round. He has shown improvement over the last few years, but was just a .280 hitter.
Good possibility that he could increase his draft stock and $$$ with another year at Texas.
Has he already signed a contract or something? I don't understand why Walsh would leave to be honest.
I agree that Weiss prolly won't move, but to be honest - he really should.
Silver as a given at 1B means we could continue to not swing the ball well. I like his glove, but I would hope they try to upgrade their offense without hurting their defense next year. A .267 hitter at 1B could be improved IMO.

Also, what about Milner? I thought the guy should have been our ace on the staff this year (once Stafford went down.) When it was all said and done, I think he made a strong case for that spot. If he were to stick around for his Senior year, I would love to see him lead the rotation as our #1 guy. He did well last year in the starting rotation as well.
I do understand that he was draft pretty high though.
