  • Alan, can you elaborate on why Gray doesn't fit the wild formation?

If Monroe's being "fast and shifty" makes him a viable choice, I'm missing something. Gray seems to be even faster and shiftier than Fozzy... who was dynamite in the wild. What did Fozzy have and Monroe seem to have that Gray doesn't?

  • Bergeron and Malcom Brown need to play both Fullback and Tailback. Both need to be used in passing plays.

LSU uses their freshman sensation Hilliard in that role and its perfect...They have 4 different backs and use all of them, whicheveer one is hot....or best suited, or practices well...the go with. i like how they use em and i think Texas can do the same.

Jalen Overstreet was a beauty of a move. He is our Texas WILDCAT. Use him as QB, move him to Hback, TE and Running back.

Whittaker was great cause he had experience, was smart....I think that is key to Being the triggerman for THE Texas WILDCAT.

Gray may be just a freshman but he is no stranger to defenses, breaking them down, and seeeeing tons of action. he is lightning quick and can make the split second decisions, I believe he could fit in Whittakers wildcat trigger role perfectly. Gray is light years ahead of reading decisions, making lightning quick decisions and exploding through the hole.

I am really excited about seeeing just what Jalen OVerstreet brings .....his smartness, decision making, quickness, toughness as a runner. IF he is smart, tough, and all football, he may be one of those recruits that have as high as upside as BERGERON has now.

i look at Jalen and see big running back, Hback or fast violent LB.

BERGERON and Malcom better be interchangeable at both Blocking, RUNNING and utilized as HBACK passing plays...if that can happen we will get double threat out there.

Johnathan Gray needs to be on the field period. To get him on the field ...he will need to come in as a TAILBACK but also utilized as a slot type reciever...where he can motion down...and be used as a reciever...IF he can be a used alot as a RECIEVER.....getting the ball to him quick where he then can make a move and get up field ..then he will be scary scary. If You thrown in him as the Trigger guy for the option similar to Whittaker....then you can keep him on the field and the defenses have to be aware of his speed and they have to keep track of BERGERONS power , and speeed as a HBACK and the same could be said for MALCOM...ITs going to make the defenses play us honest....and with them playing even across the line...we got just as good to move the chains

BROWN, Bergeron, and GRAY on the field.....the more talent and diverse of talent you got on the field, the more outrageous mismatches we can get with the Linebackers, .....getting Gray in space as a wr....and

Brown and Bergeron play should be predicated on how eager they are willing to block for each other and contribute in ways like blocking and recieving.

key word for the backs should be

    Interchangeable, Flexible

with all the motioning and power, and speed.....we can create some big time mismatches and we dont even gotta have a Great QB to drive the bus.

    my two cents in paradise

    i
