After looking at the 247 list for 2013, Bama is listed by seemingly every top recruit. They have clearly taken full advantage of their national championship. The recruiting class that we signed after our MNC was 2006. Auburn took full advantage last year after they won their MNC and signed a much better class than they would have otherwise. In 2006, we ended up with Moore, Payne, Webber, Mitchell, Marshall, & Ellis. We took two out of state recruits - Houston and Alexander. How did we not capitalize on our MNC? One could argue that you don't get full advantage of the MNC until the following recruiting class which would be 2007. In 2007, we only signed one OOS recruit, Blaine Irby. In 2007, we also signed Harris (the TE for those of you who never saw him catch a pass), Higgins, Howard, & McGaskey. Tire is not an all star group but every class has some busts. The hits from this class were Thomas, Brown, Acho, and finally Whittaker. Allen was a bust but was highly rated so I don't blame the staff. So my question is who did we have a chance with not only in state but OOS after our national championship that we passed on for the low hanging fruit? I don't count Terrell Pryor or anybody of that participated in pay for play as maybe the staff knew they would bring down the program.

2006 recruiting class question
