Kenny Vaccaro said the Longhorns are going back to basics.

In an effort to help a defense that ranks 107th nationally, the Texas Longhorns are using the practices it has left in 2012 to go back to work on the little things.

I've always wondered if you can teach blocking and tackling during a game week. It seems to me to be really effective fundamentals are taught during spring practice and two-a-days. Perhaps during a bye week. Once the season starts then you prepare for the next team. I just hope Mack is not taking KU lightly and has told the team they will beat KU bad. (As Mack did in 2010 vs ISU.
