Moving Forward

The kneeldown is an easy one for me. I coached football for 30 years
and know what the right thing is to do. You will have a few like Stoops,
Jenkins (UH years ago) etc... who don't care, and will run it up as much
as they can. I've seen Stoops throwing passes into the endzone late
in games with big leads. Just like everything else, opinions are like
rear ends, everryone has one!

I think that's a perfect analogy.

They play with more passion, but I think this season might resemble the Macduff year.

I watched two blow out middle school games last week. The other team kept fumbling and Montgomery kept scoring. The time keeper started letting the clock run even when he was suppose to stop it. It is one thing to win big. It is another to crush an opponent who has no chance. Montgomery coaches did everything short of telling their qb to take a knee on every play in the forth quarter. Mack is right in my opinion. A team knows when it has been beaten and just wants off the field. Stoops would have been calling time outs and throwing bombs. Of course we remember when USC beat the swooners and the swooners were pleading for mercy. What goes around comes around.
