I think when Mack says, "stats are out the window", he means the stats are so bad, it's pointless to look at them. There's absolutely nothing to learn from them. Imagine the worst and go from there. Mack's a lot of things, but he's not that dumb.

Manny Diaz has to be out at the minimum after this season. I don't know how in the hell he still has a job right now? Don't tell K state or Oklahoma that they can't get it done on defense in this conference and were supposed to have better players than them (K state especially). I guess it doesn't surprise me when Mack now says that stats don't matter when your defense is giving up 600 yards a game. That's the master of spin in effect right there. He's always spitting them out at the beginning of his press conferences. I guess we can expect that to go away, of course in less he's bragging about the other team and there offense.

I'll take any win this team can get, but my God, somebody needs to point that out to him in the media. Why do you think teams like K state (against WVU) and Oklahoma (against us and K state) are having so much success on defense against teams in this conference when your defensive unit has struggled so mightily this season? Could it be that your coordinator doesn't have a clue?
