ALLEN, Texas – As usual, Sunday's Nike Football Training Camp at Allen High School was littered with Texas Longhorn commitments and recruits who current hold a Texas offer.
One of the top performers on the day was Coppell four-star defensive end Solomon Thomas. The 6-foot-4, 263-pound defensive end earned defensive line MVP honors and also secured an invite to The Opening this summer.
Texas wide receiver commit Lorenzo Joe was named wide receiver MVP, while Beaumont Ozen five-star cornerback Tony Brown took home the defensive back MVP award. Those three weren't the only Longhorn recruits who had big days.
Mount Pleasant's KD Cannon was one of the top receivers at the event, as was Lewisville Hebron's Jamal Adams at defensive backs. Longhorn commit Demetrius Knox was one of the better offensive linemen in attendance.
