Kent Perkins said he's trying to make it down to Austin for a visit to UT.

Lake Highlands' Kent Perkins is one of the top line prospects in Texas in the class of 2013. He's already got one school sticking among those recruiting him.

where does he project if rankings were to come out today? Top ten? Top twenty? Top fifty? Is he an automatic take?

I think he's projected to be a top 100 type player so I'd guess top 10-12ish.
Man there are some damn good tackles in next years class.

Yeah, I just peaked at the top ten according to LSR. I believe he is projected at #8 right now. A take for sure unless their is something weird going on behind the curtains.

2013 has some unknowns, but one thing is for sure, we will have a great OL haul. We lead for Perkins, Thomas, and Robinson. That's basically 2 four stars and probably a 5 star. I'm not sure which side of the ball Darius James plays on, but he could also be another 5 star OL.

He is a take for me.
Where does he rank? He has the chance to be a top 100 type of prospect nationally.
A'Shawn Robinson is the #1 guy in the state as an OL in 2013 for sure.

Can't wait to see what Searles does with over a year to recruit these kids and establish a relationship. Is it possible the guy's frequent flyer mileage decreases in 2012?
Are we looking to take 4-5 OL in the next class? I know most of these guys are basically athletes and can play both sides of the ball, so I guess that could play into evaluations/offers, too.

Texas has a legit shot all all of them if all were to be offered. Who jumps on the verbal offer as of today? I think Texas would get 2-3 of 5 under that scenario.

He's really impressed on the recruiting trail. I'm guessing he'll do a little less OOS recruiting next year as his SEC area relationships fade away. The type of in-state talent on the board for 2013 only solidifies that view IMO.

Not to mention there are still even more really good prospects like Beyer, Owens, and Gustafson. Texas should no NO problem pulling in a elite o-line class.
