Diaz says we aren't doing anything different this year than last year. Really?
I can tell you ONE thing we are doing differently: allowing the run to be successful almost anywhere on the field.

In my opinion, a lot of what Diaz told Jeff doesn't make any sense.
Using Diaz's example, a defense that gives up 2 points is far more effective than one than gives up 50 points to the same opponent.
Diaz: "The whole point was to appear complex and be simple." Yet half-way through this season Diaz and some players were talking about how many players hadn't even learned where to line up.
Diaz's excellent communication skills simply can't explain away how badly this defense has played most of this season.

It seems both Brown and Diaz have allowed themselves to have a mindset of instead shooting for perfection, to have a mindset of "however" we "might" win. It shows doubt and uncertainty. Why Stoops can light Brown's teams up.
