Denton Guyer quarterback Jerrod Heard is already being considered as one of the nation's top players, regardless of position, for 2014. Ranked No. 52 overall and No. 2 at his position, Heard is hearing from some of the nation's top programs including Texas, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma and more.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound signal caller will camp at Texas on Sunday and will be one of the key players that coaches will be keeping a close eye on.
As a sophomore last season, Heard threw for 2,286 yards, 28 touchdowns and ten interceptions. He also posted 650 yards on the ground, to go along with another five rushing touchdowns.
