Sources tell Hookem.com Case McCoy was one of two Longhorns suspended.
Multiple team sources told Hookem.com Friday afternoon that junior linebacker Jordan Hicks and junior quarterback Case McCoy have been suspended from the football team for violating team rules.
At a regularly-scheduled news conference on Friday morning, head coach Mack Brown told reporters that two student-athletes had been suspended from the bowl game. He would not go into details about either player, but multiple sources have told Hookem.com that Hicks and McCoy are the two players.
"As has been reported we had a couple of young men that broke team rules last night," Brown said. "They have been suspended from the team, and they will be sent home and will not be available for the game, and I will not address any more questions in that manner."
